K13 Insulation

What Is K13 Insulation?

K13 is a fire resistant insulation spray used for noise and thermal control. This form of insulation is created from cotton and wood and is considered green as it is composed of recyclable materials. This spray can be used on ceilings as an exposed finish and is often installed in noisy venues such as restaurants, bars, offices, and event venues to help control sound levels and create a more comfortable atmosphere.

Why Install K13 Insulation?

K13’s cellulose-based materials reduce sound reverberation and diminish noise levels caused from rainfall on the roof, chatter within an office, or loud venues with live music. This spray is fire resistant with a class 0 fire rating which decreases heat release, prevents the spread of flames on surfaces, and creates a safer environment for occupants in the event of a fire.

K13 insulation is available in multiple colors to compliment any décor, is created from recyclable cellulose materials (wood and cotton) and can adhere to various surfaces such as gypsum, glass, metal, plasterboard, concrete or wood. K13 has an R value of 3.75 per inch, can be applied up to 5 inches thick, creates an air seal when applied, fills in gaps and cracks, and blocks out moisture.
