Blown-in blanket system (BIBS) insulation has high R-Values of approximately R-4.23 per inch. it is constructed using mesh netting pulled over wooden studs in the ceiling or wall and then blown-in with loose fill insulation. BIBS prevents insulation gaps and unwanted air flow as the netting ensures the loose fill insulation is held in place while thoroughly insulating around electrical boxes, ductwork and pipes.
